About the Position: This position is located in the Naval Branch Health Clinic Whiting Field, Patient Administration, Directorate of Naval Hospital, Pensacola, located in Milton, FL. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation, DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD.

Duties

Explain benefits and entitlements as well as eligibility requirements, options, limitations, and relationship to the Defense Eligibility Enrollment Reporting System (DEERS) to beneficiaries. Advise patients of services offered through the TRICARE program. Resolve debt collection and billing problems for patients receiving healthcare at civilian facilities. Provide benefit briefing to eligible beneficiaries. Coordinate with Military Treatment Facility staff, military and civilian providers network to determine the best method to meet the individuals needs for information or assistance. Brief newly assigned medical providers on local procedures regarding medical referrals and benefits. Maintain program files and records in accordance with regulatory requirements.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
