Duties

You will serve as an analyst to management regarding financial program activities requiring application of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for assessment of financial management processes, systems, and programs. This position starts at a salary of $86,962.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $134,435.00 (GS-13, Step 10) with promotion potential to $134,435.00 (GS-13 Step 10). In this position, you will become a key member of the Office of Facilities and Asset Management team performing the below typical work: Supporting section functions related to budget administration and tracking of execution of funds. Reviewing financial obligations and expenditures through collaboration with internal and external customers to ensure budget funds are allocated and used appropriately and in alignment with broader agency objectives. Understanding and applying appropriated funding laws and regulations to ensure funding is used in accordance with legislative/regulatory intent. Providing timely, relevant, and accurate information regarding the budget administration of the Program Management Office's (PMO) program. Coordinating and synthesizing data regarding financial resources of the PMO which is then presented to supervisors, Field Operations Facilities, and the PMO's leadership and business partners.

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Assisting with the development or management of operational procedures to improve processes. Submitting reports on computer/systems applications to meet organizational requirements. Providing advice and solutions for financial system reporting issues. Assisting with financial management and analytical functions, to include program assessment and process improvement. Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Utilizing principles, policies, regulations, and procedures of budget and financial transactions to evaluate financial data and prepare a variety of reports. Communicating in writing to reflect financial management and budgeting findings and recommendations to top management officials. Conducting reviews and/or audits of financial programs to ensure expenditure of funds in accordance with regulatory or legal requirements. Creating charts, graphs and reports using financial analytics tools. Providing interpretive and analytical advice on financial transactions and program execution. Developing format and content to provide managers with various listing, reports, and data relative to status of funds and propriety of obligations. Preparing budget patterns, projects expenditures, and budget exhibits to senior leadership.
