You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the NAVY CLOSURE TASK FORCE - RED HILL (NCTF-RH) of COMMANDER NAVY REGION HAWAII.

Duties

You will coordinate quality assurance (QA) plans, programs, or processes to achieve organizational requirements. You will recommend changes in work procedures, materials, or work oversight to correct discrepancies. You will analyze quality assurance (QA) plans to identify need for technical, productivity, or quality modifications. You will conduct studies of changes in work procedures, materials, or work oversight to correct discrepancies in work products. You will prepare corrective action report to document deficiencies when products are non-compliant with contract requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • The position requires the incumbent to be on-call and available 24 hours a day unless in an authorized leave or temporary duty status. Incumbent may be required to work overtime.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ensuring that products, services and equipment conform to validated standards by using quality assurance concepts, operating principles and methodology applicable to repair and new construction shipbuilding techniques; 2) Providing Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) for repair specifications, contractor process controls and government and contractor management controls; 3) Analyzing and investigating complex quality problems, providing solutions, technical advice and maintaining a corrective action program; and 4) Ability to read and interpret contract specifications and engineering drawings, prepare written reports and make oral presentations.
