As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.This position serves as a General Manager (GM) of the Cleveland District in the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Air Traffic Services (AJT).

Duties

Incumbent provides support to the Director regarding day-to-day operations, providing expert advice, technical support, and coordination for technical operations involving the National Airspace System and NexGen efforts. Incumbent also assists the Director in achieving and maximizing operational Air Traffic goals, aids in strategic planning, facility planning and integrated consensus building across ATO Service Units.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
  • Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
  • Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.
  • A one year supervisor/managerial probaion period may be required.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-K, FG/GS-15 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience for this position:Experience managing a large, complex technically-oriented aviation and safety organization to develop objectives for and to align the work of subordinate technical organizations; ORExperience applying program/project management principles to achieve aviation and safety operational goals and lead strategic planning, facility planning and integrated consensus building across ATO Service Units.Applicants must include examples of their specialized experience in their resume work history. Applicants who do not demonstrate one full year of specialized experience will not receive further consideration for this position.Eligible applicants meeting the minimum qualification requirements, may be further evaluated on the Leadership and Management Dimensions and Technical Requirements listed in the announcement.
