About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Industrial Operations, at Letterkenny Army Depot, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

Duties

Repair various radars such as PATRIOT and other similar systems. Operate test equipment such as frequency meters, oscilloscopes, power meters, standard wave and other similar testing equipment. Apply the electronic theory in conjunction with related pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical system. Repair electronic systems with the use of common hand and power tools. Troubleshoot electronic systems to determine malfunctions occurring in the system. Provide new repair methods on radar systems to lower level employees.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be willing to accept a temporary position.
• Must obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• Must be willing to travel up to 40% of the time.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to pass a physical examination annually and thereafter.

Qualifications

Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years, and may be made permanent without further competition. Position may be filled as a temporary appointment NTE 1 year, if candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three years.
