You will serve as a Support Services Specialist in the FLEET HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE NORFOLK of FLEET HRO NORFOLK.
Duties
You will review work processes for administrative and support services to determine the need for new and/or revised local procedures to ensure standardized support of all FLTHRO branch offices and functions.
You will review travel authorizations and vouchers for accuracy, ensuring compliance with pertinent travel regulations and guideline.
You will serve as a card holder for the Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) Program
You will research directives, writes procedures and local instructions as required by higher authority
You will serve as the facilities maintenance POC responsible for conducting minor repairs, and coordinating in-depth repairs and lager projects.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
(1) Experience providing advice and assistance relative to support services policies, programs, and objectives in order to accomplish the command's mission.
(2) Experience reviewing administrative and support services work processes to determine need for new and/or revised procedures.
(3) Experience administering multiple programs and administrative functions simultaneously in support of operational requirements.
(4) Experience serving as a Non-DTS Entry Agent (NDEA), Reviewer, and Approver in the Defense Travel System (DTS) to support roughly 100 personnel.
(5) Experience executing the Government Purchase Card Program, obtaining quotes, preparing purchase request packages, and certifying purchases online.
(6) Experience coordinating the day-to-day operations of facilities maintenance and repair projects as necessary; monitoring and tracking major/minor maintenance and repair projects from inception to completion.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
2 years or a master's or equivalent graduate degree is creditable for GS-9
