You will serve as a Supply Systems Analyst in the Property Management Department of NAVSEA Logistics Center, Keyport Division Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Mechanicsburg, PA NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA.in St Julien's Creek, Portsmouth, VA.

Duties

You will apply approved technical solutions and methods of delivery; make adjustments to accomplish workload. You will address/resolve warehouse management and logistical support procedural, technical, and automation issues. You will apply new concepts to supply operations and problems in order to develop and implement site-wide policy, procedures, and guidance. You will implement site Operating Material and Supply, (OM+S) processes for command inspections, assessments, and audits. You will participate in policy and procedural studies and analyses; and recommend process and business practice improvement initiatives. You will routinely submit authoritative reports and engage in discussions regarding status with the chain of command. You will measure OM+S status using a variety of locally developed metrics to determine effectiveness in achieving goals and objectives.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • Must be able to obtain a Forklift/MHE license and/or certification within 90 days of appointment and maintain thereafter every five years until age 60 and annually thereafter.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assessing and overseeing warehouse activities to secure asset accountability for meeting organizational requirements. Examples of Performing warehouse management:/administrative functions; conducting daily warehouse inventory management operations and establishing warehouse management methods, procedures, and business practices to organize and locate assets. Education

A Master's or equivalent graduate degree;
OR
Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Master's or equivalent degree;
OR
An LL.B. or J.D., in a field directly related to the position being filled;
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
