About the position: This position will be assigned to the Little Rock Air Force Base - Razor Back Inn. This is a full-time position with guaranteed 35 hours but can be scheduled to a maximum of 40 hours per week. Physical Effort: Occasionally lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds. While supervising NA-02 positions, moderately heavy physical effort is required which includes occasionally lifting, moving, and carrying objects weighing over 50 pounds.

Duties

The primary purpose of this position is to assist in planning, organizing, conducting, and managing a large, expanded lodging housekeeping program. Indirectly supervises a work force of employees primarily classified as Custodial Workers, NA-3566-1, through subordinate supervisors. Formulates, implements, coordinates and controls a comprehensive lodging housekeeping program. Assists in determining long-range, intermediate, and short-range program goals and policies independently or jointly with higher management. Assists in developing and implementing organizational structures and operating plans and procedures to achieve program goals, monitors effectiveness and efficiency of operations within the established framework, and makes adjustments as necessary. Accountable for the quantity and quality of work performed by assigned employees to include: hires, promotes, motivates, disciplines, and separates employees. Assists in assigning, directing, and reviewing the work of subordinates, and evaluates their work performance; approving or disapproving sick leave, annual leave or other absences from work; planning, scheduling, and coordinating work operations, solving problems related to the work supervised; determining equipment and supplies needed; and explaining and gaining the support of subordinates for management policy and goals; and for dealing effectively with employee and representatives of personnel on employee suggestions, complaints, grievances and other matters. Assists in establishing personnel management policies for the housekeeping operation in line with the personnel policies of the AF and local lodging operations. Delegates authority to subordinate supervisors and holds them responsible for the performance of their respective organizational Units. Responsible for maintaining documentation to prepare as needed budget information on information such as, housekeeping personnel expenses, cleaning supplies, and resale sundry stock. Develops and maintains standards for cleanliness and sanitation. Standards encompass such areas as frequency of cleaning; methods, procedures, and safety precautions to be followed; selection, measurement and proper use of housekeeping and cleaning supplies; and use and maintenance of housekeeping equipment. Monitors performance based recognition and internal special lodging awards programs for the housekeeping staff. As required, may clean and restock lodging facilities and related areas. Performs other related duties as assigned. May operate one or more motor vehicles to include light trucks, sedans and vans weighing up to 10,000lbs.
