You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR in the Skills Workforce Development Training Section (Code 1400PI.12), in the Training Branch, (Code 1400PI.1), in the Performance Improvement and Innovation Division(Code 1400PI) at the Naval Foundry and Propeller Center (NFPC) (Code 1400) located at Philadelphia,Pennsylvania a detachment of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications

GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience creating, modifying, and/or presenting rigging/non-rigging courses to personnel including, supervisors, apprentices, trade personnel, and technicians utilizing classroom instructions, demonstrations, and mock-up simulations. Experience revising rigging/non-rigging curriculum, on-the-job training, and evaluates overall training effectiveness. Experience utilizing the latest training technological advances to determine course content, training aids, and instructional approach. Experience creating, modifying, and/or presenting rigging/non-rigging lessons plans and training materials based upon course objectives. Experience determining instructional methods based upon the needs and make-up of the students. Experience improving training courses and staying abreast of changing administrative and technical requirements. Experience accessing training records and reports. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience creating, modifying, and/or presenting rigging/non-rigging courses to personnel including, supervisors, apprentices, trade personnel, and technicians utilizing classroom instructions, demonstrations, and mock-up simulations. Experience revising rigging/non-rigging curriculum, on-the-job training, and evaluates overall training effectiveness. A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
or
