You will serve as a Financial Technician in the Comptroller Department of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA.
Duties
You will perform account maintenance and accounting support work requiring a basic understanding of accounting systems, policies, and procedures to examine, verify and maintain and reconcile accounts and accounting data.
You will perform technical work in support of the receipt, disbursement examination, deposit and custody of cash items which includes handling cash items or use of cash accountability control methods.
You will answer requests and provide advice to employees, supervisors, staff, and personnel specialists on pay related rules, regulations, and procedures.
You will work to establish, maintain, correct, and close pay accounts for active, reserve, or retired armed forces personnel and their annuitants.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing knowledge of accounting, budget, or other financial methods, practices, procedures, or techniques. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: account maintenance, basic understanding of accounting systems, policies and procedures; verify, maintain and reconcile accounting data; prepare and analyze reports, and the ability to apply various accounting methods and techniques.
