About the Position: The Supply Systems Analyst administers the Medical Care Support Equipment (MEDCASE)/Capital Expense Equipment (CEEP) program for the Lyster Army Health Clinic campus. The position oversees and provides support for technical and clerical supply personnel, warehouse personnel, and hazardous material operations. This position is a temporary appointment, not to exceed 2 years. This position is a term position and may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of 8 years.

Duties

Perform systems analysis for variety of automated supply management systems. Identify training, technical and functional problems related to supply activity. Provide medical material support to departments across the hospital campus. Ensure files are correct and supply systems are improved and/or upgraded in accordance with regulations. Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for supply operations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
  • This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience and/or education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining supply activity system functionality; evaluating efficiency of supply chain operations; utilizing logistics management systems for tracking supply data; coordinating supply fulfillment activity with technical and clerical personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: supply chain management or logistics. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
