This position is located under the Office of Field Operations (FO), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in Springfield, Missouri.

Qualifications

To qualify for 7/9, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-7 You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties: Conducting basic investigative research; and Gathering and assembling material for use in routine reports; and Composing non-technical correspondence. OR Completion of 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement. OR A combination of graduate level education and experience. This will be calculated using your resume and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application. To qualify for the GS-1805-9 candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-7. GS-9 You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties: Conducting analytical investigative research; and Assisting with trend analysis analyses and statistical studies for any organization; and Summarizing reports and extracting essential intelligence information to create cohesive reports. OR Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related OR A combination of graduate education and experience. This will be calculated using your resume and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application. This is a non-bargaining unit position. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position.
