About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W43TAA US ARMY MAT CMD LOG SPT ACTY.

Duties

Prepares and disseminates local information security guidance as determined from higher level directives and regulations. Provides OCONUS level 1 security briefings to contractors and government personnel travelling outside of the United States. Maintains Personnel Security Program for a 100% cleared work force. Serves as a security specialist who is responsible for the development and implementation of a multi-disciplined security programs to protect the collateral and/or classified information.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• Temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required 25% or less of the time.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Antiterrorism Level II certification within 180 days of employment.
• Must be able to attain OPSEC Level II certification within 6 months of employment.
