Duties

Coordinating cost estimates, budgeting, scheduling, deviations and delays, and cost control Providing technical advice, historical data, analysis, and recommendations to peers and superiors and implementing actions Receiving, storing, picking, re-packing, marking, labeling, assembling, disassembling, or disposing of a variety of kits/assemblies, use of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Planning, scheduling, reviewing, and reporting of kitting workload in compliance with procedures and regulations Determining capabilities and availability of facilities, developing labor and cost data to determine program acceptance, modification, or rejection Assisting customers in evaluating, aligning, and coordinating their requirements around LEAN logistics and/or reengineering solutions

Qualifications

To qualify for a Production Controller (Kitting), your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that are typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-7 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-6 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Coordinating cost estimates, budgeting, scheduling, deviations and delays, and cost control Planning, scheduling, reviewing, and reporting of kitting workload in compliance with procedures and regulations Assisting customers in evaluating, aligning, and coordinating their requirements around LEAN logistics and/or reengineering solutions Education: As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
