The position is located in the Materials Management Department of the Phoenix Indian Medical Center. The position is responsible for various supply and property management, data, entry, and office services functions such as inventory control, storage, issuance, accountability, utilization, transportation, mail service and other support service functions.
Duties
Maintain stock at or within prescribed levels and establishes or adjust stock levels and reorder points using the standard EOQ system principles to assure adequate stock of supplies and materials.
Conducts physical inventories and makes adjustments to and/or maintains inventory, stock, or property account records.
Initiates, prepares, edits and processes requisitions to stock, commodity control, or other appropriate supply or property organizations.
Contacts customers, supply organizations, transportation units, and others to obtain materials status information, follow up on urgently required items, and/or expedite delivery of material/supplies.
Operates personal computers to perform record research, data input, and data correction/additions/deletions, and to maintain accurate M32 supply management system for supply.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-06 Grade Level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of full-time specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level that equipped me with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Examples include: utilizing the Unified Financial Management Systems (UFMS) or a similar automated system for ordering and receiving supplies in a health care setting; reconciling transactions and processing payments for recurring invoices; & compiling/reviewing/maintaining data from contracts, purchase orders, and/or requisitions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-07 Grade Level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of full-time specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-06 grade level that equipped me with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Examples include: processing purchase documents, receiving reports, inventory reports, reports of survey, excess reports, etc.; interprets federal directives; and reviews of all routine purchase requests.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
