The primary purpose for this position is to provide administrative and clerical support to the programs and the multi-disciplinary teams of the Mental Health Service. You will be responsible for providing administrative, fiscal, supply and support functions to team across seven different locations.
Duties
Major Duties include but are not limited to:
Performs work involving the collection, compilation, tracking and reporting of statistical information.
Maintains ongoing records of fund control point activity and executes all purchases.
Screening telephone calls, routing calls and receiving clients and visitors.
Prepares various reports and presents this information to appropriate committee/team.
Performs a basic analysis for the data and generates a variety of reports.
Trends and tracks quarterly workload to identify utilization trends, possible cost savings and preventative inpatient admissions.
Work Schedule: : 7:30am - 4:00pm (M-F)

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 02/29/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
Typing Proficiency Requirement: Individuals who are selected for an office automation (OA) position must be able to type 40 words per minute.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Performing work involving the collection, compilation, and/or tracking of data and statistical information;
Assisting in the development of program information, resource materials, and various reports;
Maintaining written records, reports, publications and establishes administrative controls;
Maintaining program supply levels;
Resolving administrative problems, Veterans complaints and professional inquiries;

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Physical Requirements: This work involves some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of some light items. The work requires the incumbent to be able to move comfortably around the office and when necessary other locations. The work involves a considerable amount of time gathering and recording data.
