Duties

You will inspect, recommend, prepare scopes of work, cost estimates, and take action to repair and maintain facilities and grounds. You will review maintenance service contract plans and specifications for new contracts, contract renewal or modification of existing contracts. You will inspect facilities and review reported deficiencies to determine the safest, efficient and cost-effective way to perform repairs. You will coordinate contractor personnel requirements relative to security and area clearances with other commands. You will establish and maintain effective working relationships in all maintenance service contractor provided service areas to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Term appointments may be extended up to 8 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing facilities maintenance, including routine and emergency repairs; negotiating, approving, managing, and executing facilities service contracts; and managing purchase card usage.
