You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Contract Management and Oversight Division (Everett), Engineering and Planning Department of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

You will provide oversight of the development, coordination and management of the Integrated Test Plan. You will serve as the project team point of contact for all related testing issues. You will review work items for proper testing requirements and ensure all Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) will be provided. You will coordinate with the Project Manager (PM) to ensure the Integrated Test Plan (ITP) accurately reflects the Availability Work Package (AWP) and the integrated production schedule. You will review Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM/E) test procedures and documents prior to issuance and after completion of testing.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical oversight and management of integrated test plans to ensure the execution of comprehensive integrated systems testing of shipboard systems.
