This is a temporary appointment NTE 1039hrs; length of season may vary due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. EOD: March.

Duties
Works under a trail maintenance leader or other higher-graded position. The position is primarily engaged in assisting in the maintenance and construction of graded and paved trails, trail drainage, trail bridges, and guard rails.
Assists in the installation, repair and replacement of water diversion bars, cribbing and retainer walls. Removes windfalls, rockslides, surface outcroppings and debris from trails. Builds up tread surfaces in eroded areas. Installs steppingstones at creek crossings where bridges cannot be constructed. Safely and effectively, uses hand power tools required for the job and has the ability to maintain these tools properly.
Safely and efficiently operate equipment such as but not limited to UTV's, mowers and skidsteer.
Safely and effectively use hand power tools as well as properly maintain them.
May perform other duties such as: routine painting, carpentry, janitorial, cleaning, trash pick-up, grounds keeping, digging, raking, or sweeping; assisting in transporting camp and work supplies and construction materials; removal of snow and ice from trails and roads.
