You will serve as a Tractor Operator in the Transportation Branch of the Production Division of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC PWD Kittery, Maine.
Duties
You will operate farm-type tractors, street sweepers, and towed or attached equipment to maintain grounds, road medians, streets and in support of all ground and hard surfaced maintenance work.
You will be responsible for making numerous equipment adjustments and performing maintenance on tractors and grounds equipment.
You will maneuver tractor and equipment in confined areas such as between buildings, shrubs and trees, along fence lines, inside parking lots and along curbing.
You will operate motor vehicles, forklifts, street sweepers and trucks including platform, vans stake, dump buses and cargo vans.
You will assure that cargo is properly located, distributed, and secured, and that vehicle is not loaded beyond capacity.
You will perform driver maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

The Screen-out Element for this position is:1) Operating gasoline or diesel-powered vehicles such as platform trucks, van trucks, fuel trucks, stake body trucks, dump trucks, buses, snow removal equipment, sedans, forklifts, manlifts, backhoes, and truck mounted cranes. 2) Operating vehicles over roads and streets; through traffic; within and between government installations, on interstate highways, winding roads, and steep grades. 3) Maneuvering vehicles within close tolerances when driving and backing over uneven ground and in narrow or congested areas, between buildings and other vehicles, and at loading docks. 4)ensuring that cargo is properly located, distributed, and secured, and that the vehicle/equipment is not loaded beyond capacity.
