About the Position: This position is with the National Guard Bureau, Education OS Branch. Based out of Arlington,VA. 1 position will be selected for North St. Paul, MN 1 position will be selected for Columbia, SC

Duties

Prepare and conduct state briefings to explain program, policies, changes, etc. and trains assigned state education Officers/Non-commissioned Officers (NCO), in ACES programs and enrollment procedures, etc. Responsible to plan, direct, coordinate and report on the full scope of activities required to accomplish the Army Continuing Education System (ACES) program for the assigned state/region. Explain benefit (Veteran’s Assistance, Tuition Assistance, etc.) and aids in securing proof of eligibility for benefits and assists students' application, degree programs, evaluation of HS and college transcripts, accreditation, etc. Counsel military personnel providing guidance on the establishment and planning of realistic educational goals.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service (GS-07 or equivalent) OR I have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Adult Education. OR I have the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have at least one year of graduate education as described in B, but less than the required two years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. OR I have the specialized experience , but less than one year; and I have at least two years of graduate education, but less than the required three years.
