Duties

You will perform account maintenance and accounting support work, and use the CFMS and SABRS Site Modules to maintain financial Operating Targets (OPTAR’s). You will perform technical work in support of the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and custody of cash items which includes handling cash items or use of cash accountability control methods. You will examine documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, and compliance with regulations for goods and services provided to or by the Government. You will examine documents for satisfaction or default in fulfilling contractual obligations, and reimbursements for medical and domiciliary care, education, travel and transportation. You will determine pay, payroll records maintenance and completion of reports pertaining to civilian employees of the Federal Government. You will perform technician work in support of budget analysis and administration such as maintain ledgers, compiling, consolidating, checking and arranging funding data.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing accounting, budget or other financial management regulations, practices, procedures, and policies related to specific financial management functions. Experience keyboarding is required. Experience working with standing instructions regarding objectives, priorities, and deadlines and providing guidance for unusually involved situations. Experience processing difficult procedural and technical tasks and handling problems and deviations in accordance with instructions, policies, previous training, or accepted practices.
