You will serve as a INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEM SPECIALIST of CENTER FOR SUBMARINE.

Duties

You will coordinate with training personnel to ensure test plans are written in accordance with command manuals You will brief faculty and staff on information changes, problems, and improvements through presentations and personal conferences You will implement new or revised curricula and training materials medications to provide the most up to date training

Requirements

  • Position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
  • Completion of Defense Acquisition University (DAU) courses: CLC 106 and CLC 222.Clearance: (LC specific)

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing curriculum development and software: 2) Applying Curriculum Theory an Approach as well as conventional and established or unestablished training methods and techniques; 3) Utilizing instructional technology including interactive courseware, video and virtual distance training and computer-based training to maintain training courses and materials and evaluate training programs; 4) Evaluating Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) curricula analysis documentation for alignment with sound Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles and policies; Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Instructional Systems Series 1750 (opm.gov) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Education

Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must posses:

Degree: that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours appropriate to the work of the position to be filled. The course work must have included study in at least four of the following five areas:

  1. Learning theory, psychology of learning, educational psychology: Study of learning theories as they relate to the systematic design, development, and validation of instructional material.
  2. Instructional design practices: Study of the principles and techniques used in designing training programs, developing design strategy and models, and applying design methods to the improvement of instructional effectiveness.
  3. Educational evaluation: Study of the techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional/educational programs, including developing written and performance tests and survey instruments, and determining reliability and validity of evaluation instruments.
  4. Instructional product development: Study of the techniques appropriate for developing training materials, including identifying learner characteristics, specifying objectives, applying training strategy, validating training materials, and evaluating training.
  5. Computers in education and training: Study of the application of computers in education and training, including selecting appropriate computer software.
