DUTIES
Reports on and assures that 7(a), 504 and disaster loans and lending activities are accurately, appropriately and expeditiously carried out in conformance with laws, regulations and standard operating procedures.
Designs and conducts sensitive and controversial quality control reviews for loan processing, servicing or liquidation activities and procedures.
Develops strategic and operating plans for the quality improvement program audit function that accurately and timely measure the quality and effectiveness of the SBA's loan processing, servicing, and liquidation functions.
The incumbent supervises up to 12 staff that carry out the quality improvement program of SBA loan processing, servicing or liquidation activities at any one of the Centers.
Leads the effort with federal and/or contract staff to performance-audit SBA for compliance with the Improper Payments Elimination and Recovery Act of 2010 (IPERA) and the Improper Payments Information Act of 2002 (IPIA)
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen
- You must successfully complete a background investigation.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- You may be required to serve a one year supervisory probationary period.
Qualifications
GS-14: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service) obtained in either the private or public sector that include the following:
1. Developing and implementing operational and program initiatives related to internal controls, quality control, or improper payments; and
2. Planning and coordinating program reviews to assess operational efficiency; and
3. Written or assisted with writing reports summarizing the results of internal control, quality control, or improper payment reviews.
