As a Core Policy Analyst in the Bank Supervision Policy, you will analyze complex banking and regulatory issues to assist policy experts with the development of new or modified supervisory policies and procedures. This position is located in Bank Supervision Policy within Washington, DC. Although Washington, DC is the preferred location, Alternate Location Arrangement will be considered.

Duties

As a Core Policy Analyst in Banks Supervision Policy, you will: Provide technical skills to assist BSP management team in organizing and implementing OCC's bank supervision policy programs. Review and analyze supervisory policy initiatives to determine the identification of and probable effect(s) on supervisory risks and banking operations. Work with policy experts and others, as appropriate, to ensure consistency of examiner guidance and examination procedures in Comptroller's Handbook booklets. Coordinate with policy experts to facilitate review of testimony, speeches, presentations, training materials, and correspondences prepared by other OCC departments. Assist in preparation of responses to inquiries and requests from internal sources and external groups, including Congress, GAO, other government agencies, and industry groups, on various bank supervision topics.

You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-IV band level or GS-11 equivalent. Examples of specialized experience for this position include: Experience examining a financial institution; And Experience identifying and analyzing risk to, or trends at, a financial institution; And Experience providing recommendations to resolve identified problems or mitigate associated risks. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
