This position is located in Pacific Northwest Region, Region 6 on the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest in Medford, OR. This position participates in the coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of strategies, approaches and relationships associated with the Forest Service National Partnership program.
Duties
Created programs related to complex Partnership Program management activities and administrative support functions in order to coordinate and ensure effectiveness of these programs.
Performed work related to building coalitions for partnerships that included communicating with stakeholders such as small businesses, governmental organizations, non-profits, tribal governments, and/or other organizations.
Established new concepts, theories, approaches, or programs to resolve un-yielding problems in the Partnership program.
Requirements
- You must be a US Citizen or US National.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience Requirement:
For the GS-12: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience may include: Created programs related to complex Partnership Program management activities and administrative support functions in order to coordinate and ensure effectiveness of these programs; performed work related to building coalitions for partnerships that included communicating with stakeholders such as small businesses, governmental organizations, non-profits, tribal governments, media, academic institutions, the general public, local community groups, and/or other organizations; worked with non-profit organizations or state government demonstrating a general understanding of how external partners are funded and how they operate in partnerships; and/or planned, developed, directed, and implemented partnership programs that included serving as a technical advisor to resolve partnership issues, provide guidance and training to managers and staff, and participate in or lead funding activities in support of partnership programs. Established new concepts, theories, approaches, or programs to resolve un-yielding problems in the Partnership program.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
Education
There is no substitution of education for specialized experience.
