This position is assigned to the Environmental Management Service located at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System. The primary purpose involves grounds maintenance and landscape upkeep.

Duties

Major Duties: Trimming turf and edging pavement Prunes and trims trees, shrubs and hedges Apply fertilizers, chemicals and herbicides Prepares soil, plants or transplants trees, shrubs and flowers Assists with sprinkler system operation and maintenance Performs preventative maintenance on equipment Clean along and patch roads Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM Position Description Title/PD#: Laborer/PD516-09257-A Physical Requirements: Exerts heavy physical effort in performance of duties; such as, lifting and moving objects over 50 pounds, in operating vehicles, movers, tractors and scooters. Must be able to shovel, dig, saw, lift, push, carry and climb and work on ladders.
