You will serve as a Financial Manager of HDQTRS NDW.

Duties

You will direct a financial management program (e.g., budget formulation; review and execution; accounting, financial reporting) to promote the economy and efficiency of financial resources. You will analyze financial, budget, and accounting reports for data integrity, completeness, consistency, and conformance to regulatory directives. You will advise junior level employees routinely on the policies, procedures, and goals of management as they relate to the work of the division. You will analyze financial issues to control cost accounting expenditures.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Interpreting federal budgeting processes to ensure accurate information; Maintaining of federal accounting and/or financial systems to provide up to date data, Program Management, Evaluating program management and/or strategic analysis to ensure they are effective and efficient; Directing and/or coordinating all operations necessary to accomplish the mission of the office; develops, implements and/or evaluates general and detailed financial policies, procedures and programs within the region; Furnishes technical and/or operational guidance within approved policies.
