This position is located in the Bureaus of European and Eurasian Affairs and International Organization Affairs, Office of the Executive Director, Post Management Division (EUR-IO/EX/PMO). The incumbent provides a variety of administrative and coordination support to the designated Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) and staff.
Duties
Provides advice and guidance for improvements and anticipates potential areas of concern or questions that should be addressed when making recommendations.
Plans and schedules meetings, conferences, briefings as requested.
Establishes effective working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and organizations.
Reviews documents for accuracy, due dates and ensures the completion and implementation of assignments in a timely manner.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
NOTE: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements, by the closing date of this announcement.
Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience in providing administrative support in compiling reports, briefing papers, coordinating meetings, and conferences.
Experience analyzing and evaluating data and providing recommendations to resolve problems.
Experience planning travel arrangements (i.e. travel, vouchers, reservations, etc).
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-12 position.
