The Smithsonian Institution is the world’s largest museum, education, and research complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is located in the office of Contracting (OCon) and Personal Property Management (PPM), under the Chief Financial Officer.
Duties
The Administrative Officer position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Director, Deputy Director and Associate Directors by monitoring, facilitating, reviewing, and keeping current on administrative contracting projects in which they are involved.

Qualifications
GS-09 Experience: You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal Service. For this position, specialized experience is defined as performing administrative and technical work relative to duties in support of the Director’s office in the areas of contracting, property management, and procurement projects.
Or Education:
master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related field
or
2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if directly related to the work of the position.Or a Combination: Education and experience may be combined to meet the basic qualifications.
