Serves as the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program Manager. Incumbent reports to the Technical Operations, Technical Services Organization, Environmental Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) Support Operations Group (EOSG), EOSH Program Support Center.
Duties
Incumbent oversees safety or occupational health program elements including fall protection, electrical safety, confined space and hazardous materials.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

- A recent SF-50 is required (See Required Documents for requirements).
Qualifications
To qualify for this position at the FV-I level you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-H, FG/GS-12 level.Specialized experience is experience in or related to safety and occupational health that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience includes independently conducting environmental/safety inspections of workplace hazards including asbestos, mold, drinking water, electrical, confined spaces, and elevated work surfaces. It also includes evaluating the planning and implementation of electrical, asbestos, and fall protection occupational safety programs and abatement plans; developing corrective measures, controlling identified hazards, monitoring implementation of corrective measures for compliance; and identifying safety training and protective personal equipment needs.This position has the following physical requirements: ability to climb ladders (up to 100 feet) and stairs (up to 400 feet in height) to access elevated work sites during inspections.Applicants MUST include examples of specialized experience in their work history and be specific when describing specialized experience.Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.As a part of the Federal-Wide Hiring Reform Initiative (streamlining the hiring process), the FAA is committed to eliminating the use of the Knowledge, Skills and Ability (KSA) narratives from the initial application in the hiring process for all announcements.
