In this position you will serve as the Heavy Repair Flight Supervisor of the 412th Civil Engineer Squadron. As the Flight Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing effective and efficient life-cycle operation, maintenance and repair of facilities and infrastructure to include maintaining and operating base-wide Civil Engineer customer interface via project planning, program development, design, project management contract execution and technical support.

Plan quarterly or longer basis overall use of personnel and other resources. Determine resource requirements, materials, and number of employees/types of skills necessary to accomplish long range work schedules.
Analyze work plans developed by subordinate supervisor staff and monitor the status of their work in relation to the overall schedule requirements, including unanticipated or emergency requirements.
Assigns and explains work requirements and operating instructions to subordinate supervisors and sets deadlines and establishes the sequence of work operations to be followed.
Maintains balanced workloads by shifting assignments, workers, and other resources to achieve the most effective work operations.
Provides a work environment that is free from all forms of discriminations, harassment, and retaliation.
Ensures education in, compliance with, and practice of security directives, good safety, and health habits in all work areas.
Delivers presentations on program status to leadership, including, accomplishments, solutions, and future requirements for support.
Any other tasks duties assigned by Senior Leadership
May be required to train/guide lower-graded (or other trades) military/civilian employees
Requirements

- Obtain and maintain Security clearance
- This is a designated Drug Testing Position
- Supervisory requirements may be required depending upon the position being filled

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical
- The work will require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid state driver's license will be required
- May be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
- Must obtain and maintain a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
- May be required to participate in base contingency exercises
- May be required to participate as a member of the Group Control Center, Emergency Operations Center, and/or as Staff Duty Officer
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain flightline driving certification
- Position is classified as Mission Critical. Emergency overtime and shift work may be required.

Position specific skills and experience desired in a potential candidate:
5 years of experience in an official supervisory capacity leading and mentoring a technical workforce
An academic college degree is desired
5 years' experience in Heavy Equipment (Road Repair) Operations desired
5 years' experience in Structures repair such as Carpentry, Industrial Mechanic, Painting, etc. desired
Knowledge/experience in working with Bargaining Unit Members and Representatives desired
Intermediate of equivalent level of Civilian Developmental Education/Professional Military Education is desired
You will provide all resources necessary to perform operation and maintenance services tasks encompassing all accessories and components of the primary, secondary, ancillary, auxiliary and associated systems for all Structural and Pavements Systems. Utilize safety and security practices and procedures following established rules and regulations and maintain a safe, clean, and secure work environment. Exercise technical and administrative supervision over approximately 42 employees through two subordinate supervisors in accomplishing trades and labor work over maintenance and operations functions to include interviewing candidates for subordinate positions, developing performance standards and rating supervisors and employees.
Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s) supervised and personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including sexual harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity/Equal Employment Treatment
Ability to manage overall direction and coordination of subordinate work activities and functions and implement sound personnel policies, practices, and procedures through one or more levels of subordinate supervisors.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications.
Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
