About the Position: This position is located at Fort Jackson, Richland, South Carolina.

Duties

Recognize and identify potential improvement opportunities and advise the senior and subordinate leadership of these opportunities at the organizational level. Assist management officials in defining project scope, priority, and project staffing. Advise management officials in the decision-making process with the goal of optimizing scarce resources given the demands of meeting customer requirements, reducing rework, determining operational capacity, and increasing quality. Keep leadership, and organization heads and employees informed of issues, trends and developments. Serve as a project leader for process improvement projects within all functional and subordinate unit business areas, and as a technical expert for all process improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain Army Black Belt certification within six months.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
