You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT) in the Network Sustainment Support Competency (41340), Fleet IT Support Services (41300), Sustainment Engineering & Fleet Support (41000), Logistics and Life Cycle Engineering (40000) Competency of NAVWARSYSCEN ATLANTIC CHARLESTON SC.
Duties
You will lead the software installation services for Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS) and Joint Automated Deep Operation Coordination System (JADOCS).
You will provide technical support, modernization, and sustainment engineering services including troubleshooting and documentation of issues and implementing solutions for C4I systems and components.
You will respond to both software installation fielding plan schedules, routine system support, out-of-sequence installations, and urgent On-Board Technical Assists (OBTAs).
You will oversee and coordinate resources of installation efforts, provide training as needed and recommend maintenance plans.
You will execute customer support policies, procedures, and standards;
You will represent the customer support office in performing the project planning for the installation and implementation of new systems.
You will evaluate and recommend adoption of new or enhanced approaches to delivering IT and telecommunication services.
You will ensure the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of customer support services.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 411 level Intermed/Journeyman within 12 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading the delivery of customer support services including conducting analysis and recommending resolution to problems and issues; and assisting in developing requirements and managing expectations for the delivery of customer support services.

3. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency must include: Research, evaluate, and provide feedback on problematic trends and patterns in customer support requirements.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency must include: Diagnose and resolve problems in response to customer reported incidents.
