Duties

You will provide project management and oversight for Geospatial Information and Services (GI+S) projects and initiatives that support the GeoReadiness program mission and goals. You will coordinate project schedule and scope and monitor progress to ensure that work proceeds in a satisfactory manner. You will conduct review on GIS work products to confirm that program standards and technical requirements are met. You will work with users and customers to identify project and task requirements.

Requirements

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

For the GS-12: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Using GIS methods, principles and techniques to generate and manage an organization's business data. Interpreting GIS data, tools and techniques to support land use and facilities planning processes. Using data (such as aerial photos, topological base maps, external datasets) to analyze facility management plans. For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Using GIS methods, principles and techniques to manipulate an organization's business data. Applying GIS data, tools and techniques to support land use and facilities planning processes. Using data (such as aerial photos, topological base maps, external datasets) to review facility management plans.
