About the position: This is a NAF (Non-Appropriated Fund) position assigned to the 49th Force Support Squadron at the Youth Center on Holloman AFB. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing more than 50 pounds, and on occasion 80 to 100 pounds or more. This position is Regular Part Time and comes with a full benefits package! Work schedule is typically Monday through Friday, days and/or evenings. Occasional weekend may be needed as mission requires.

Duties

The primary purpose of this position is to perform manual labor tasks involving the use of heavy hand tools, and heavy power equipment. The duties include, but are not limited to: Loads and unloads heavy boxes, bulky supplies, and materials to and from tracks, dollies, moves heavy boxes, cartons, or supplies by hand, hand-truck, or dolly; opens crates and boxes using crowbars, and cuts bands using shears; stacks boxes and cartons where directed. Using a shovel to loosen the dirt and fill holes with dirt and levels bumps and low places, using shovel, hand tamper, and rake to maintain garden and youth areas. Runs hand lawnmowers or (domestic type) powered lawnmowers, clears small trees and bushes, using handsaw, hatchet, or clipper. Pulls weeds around facility. Picks up outside trash around outer facilities and playgrounds Moves and arranges furniture and program equipment as directed Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
• This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
• This position has physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.
• This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a pre-employment and random drug testing.
• This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
• This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
