You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the NAVY CLOSURE TASK FORCE - RED HILL DIVISION of COMMANDER NAVY REGION HAWAII.

Duties

You will compare a contract with quality assurance (QA) plans to confirm program requirements are met. You will analyze a quality deficiency report (QDR) to determine quality of material is not degraded or violated. You will adjust quality assurance (QA) auditing activities as indicated by quality data trends or conditions. You will conduct follow-up audit to verify that corrective or preventive action has been implemented. You will collaborate with contracting office or program management office to resolve customer complaints and improve quality assurance (QA) services to the customer. You will create report of investigative findings to summarize factual data and conclusions for quality assurance (QA) programs.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ensuring that products, services and equipment conform to validated standards; 2) Providing Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) for repair specifications, contractor process controls and government and contractor management controls; 3) Reviewing and enforcing the management of the contractor's quality control program to assure adherence to contract requirements; 4) Ensuring that all threats to the successful delivery of the contract are addressed and mitigated in the Government's best interests.
