As a Pathways Intern you will participate in a program which facilitates the college-to-career transition by providing opportunities in variety of career tracks. As a Student Trainee, you will be provided a wide variety of practical, real-world opportunities and experience working under a team that support agency communication (internal and external) and community outreach. This vacancy will close when we have received 50 applications which may be sooner than the closing date.

Duties

As a Student Trainee, you will: 1. Work with the Office of Communications and Community Outreach staff to brainstorm, pitch, strategize, and create a variety of communications products including emails, newsletters, photos, videos, interactive web content, and other digital media. 2. Work with the Office of Communications and Community Outreach staff to plan and execute events such as a speaker series, town halls, awards ceremonies, and conferences. 3. Work with the Office of Communications and Community Outreach staff on PSA's social media and outreach initiatives. 4. Assist with making arrangements for photographing people, events, and landscapes in a variety of styles, including artistic and documentary. 5. Assist with video and audio record live events, interviews, and b-roll in a variety of styles, including artistic and documentary.

Qualifications

To eligible for Pathway's Internship Programs, applicants must meet the following requirements below: Be at least 18 years of age; AND A student accepted for enrollment or enrolled in an accredited high school, college (including 4-year colleges/universities, community colleges, and junior colleges); professional, technical, vocational, and trade school; advanced degree programs; or other qualifying educational institution pursuing a qualifying degree or certificate; AND In good academic standing maintaining a 2.0 or higher-grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 cumulative basis; AND In addition to the requirements above, to qualify for the GS-2 grade level, you must have at least three (3) months of general experience; or be a high school graduate or equivalent. General experience is defined as any type of work experience that demonstrates your ability to perform the work of the position. Examples of general work experience include: answering and referring telephones calls to the appropriate staff, maintaining and organizing documents, and using computer software. NOTE: Failure to meet the requirements above will result in an "Ineligible" rating.

You MUST provide transcripts or other documentation to support your educational claims. Unless otherwise stated: (1) official or unofficial transcripts are acceptable, or (2) you may submit a list with all of your courses, grades, semester, year, and credit for the course. All materials must be submitted by the closing date of the announcement.

PASS/FAIL COURSES: If more than 10 percent of your undergraduate course work (credit hours) was taken on a pass/fail basis, your claim of superior academic achievement must be based upon class standing or membership in an honor society .If you are claiming education as any part of your qualification for this position, you must submit an official transcript, unofficial transcript, or a list including courses, grades earned, completion dates, and quarter semester hours earned.
