You will serve as a Production Controller in the Public Works Division of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.

Duties

You will analyze, plan, and carry out complete production control tasks independently and resolve production and material conflicts or shortages which arise with minimal guidance. You will coordinates most of the timing and integrated production efforts of the many shops and departments responsible for work on various segments of maintenance and repair jobs. You will track and monitor the status and completion of work through computerized management and maintenance system (Maximo). You will collect and monitor information from a variety of sources and compile data to evaluate goals, detect errors, determine status of work, and evaluate trends to achieve best utilization of resources.

Requirements

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

Outside applicants claiming VEOA, Military Spouse under EO 13473, Disability, and Interchange Eligibles (i.e., those without current or prior Federal competitive or excepted service) must meet specialized experience requirements equivalent to the GS-08 grade level in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Planning and scheduling the production cycle for construction projects; 2) Assisting with operations to ensure timely completion of projects; 3) Ensuring projects are performed according to practices and procedures; and 4) Utilizing business application systems for data entry and extraction (e.g. MS Project, Work Manager, Data Base Systems, etc.). Applicants who are current or prior Federal competitive or excepted service employees must meet specialized experience requirements equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Planning and scheduling the production cycle for construction projects; 2) Assisting with operations to ensure timely completion of projects; 3) Ensuring projects are performed according to practices and procedures.
