This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
Advise leadership on the integration of the customer service program in the organization.
Conduct internal/external audits of practices which impact medical maintenance operations.
Assess division level biomedical maintenance quality assurance/risk assessment programs.
Develop reports that forecast biomedical support requirements and trends.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. You must successfully complete and pass a NATIONAL AGENCY CHECK WITH WRITTEN INQUIRIES (NACI, Tier 1).
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain qualification by an accredited body as an ISO Internal Auditor of Quality Management Systems.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- Business travel up to 25% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Conducting compliance reviews to ensure implementation of quality management recommendations; 2) Preparing audit reports explaining quality management program deficiencies to leadership; 3) Resolving complex problems involving modifications of equipment; 4) Preparing system level work instructions for equipment maintenance management; AND 5) Mentoring team members to bridge skills gaps and enhance organizational effectiveness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
