About the Position: This position serves as a senior-level reviewing and evaluating the logistical and explosives safety programs worldwide involving munitions operations, processes, and procedures at Army activities.

Duties

Serves as a principal member of the U.S. Army Defense Ammunition Center’s Logistics Review and Technical Assistance Office as a senior-level Logistics Management Specialist. Participates as a senior Logistics Policy/Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) on worldwide reviews/audits of all Active Army, Army Reserve, and Army National Guard commands/units and installations. Evaluates the plans and provisions of commands, activities, and installations for ammunition logistical effectiveness and efficiency. Serves as team chief, operations officer, member, or action officer on special assignments. Recommends policy and/or regulatory changes through supervisory channels.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 35% of the time.
