This position is located in the Department of Technology Services, Technology Solutions Office.
Duties
The incumbents of these positions will serve as a Junior Full Stack Engineer within the Enterprise Architecture (EA) program the incumbent will work collaboratively on a team to develop blueprints for Judiciary technology in the commercial cloud and private cloud data centers. The incumbent will work on a team that is expected to be the national technical authority in frontend and backend development.
Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
Participating in system modernization efforts necessary to develop enterprise solutions and conduct implementation tasks by means of creating full-stack implementation models of applications representing Judiciary's needs, while working closely with program offices in gaining deeper understanding of their existing applications and providing architectural recommendations to elevate the applications from on-premises to cloud solutions.
Participating in a team to develop new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements.
Designing and developing application programming interfaces (API's).
Working collaboratively with Product Managers, Product Owners on business initiatives to consult and advise on technical solution designs in an Agile Framework.
Assessing and understanding existing systems and understanding how to maximize quality and customer satisfaction, minimizing maintenance costs and other operational issues.
Collaborating cross-functionally with business analysts, quality assurance, and other team members to achieve solutions which satisfy business needs, goals, and objectives.
Working alongside other software engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices as they relate to the project and general software engineering concepts.
Deploying application components in a multi-cloud environment.
Qualifications
Applicants must have demonstrated experience as listed below. This requirement is according to the AO Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment Systems which include interpretive guidance and reference to the OPM Operating Manual for Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions.
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience establishing best practices, lessons learned and technology approaches to IT modernization capabilities including DevSecOps Software Development, Network Services, Cloud Services and other modern technologies.
