This position is responsible for the Environmental Services Section, Grounds, Waste Management, Linen Distribution, CBOC's and contracted housekeeping personnel. Provides advice and counsel to management and actively shares responsibility for the total program planning, budgeting, and general administration as a member of the Chief, Environmental Management Service Staff.

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. PHYSICAL EFFORT: The physical layout of the facility and the immediate span of control over area maintenance and environmental services operations require frequent walking throughout the hospital environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Will be exposed to wet, slippery floors, moving equipment, high temperatures, drafts, and continuous noise. Must possess the education and work experience to understand all phases of over area maintenance and environmental services operations. The technical expertise provided affects the overall operations, organizational changes, quality assessment, program evaluation and all program issues which include appraising alternative courses of action in the various specialized functions of area maintenance and environmental services operations.
