Duties

Represent DLA by providing logistical assistance and technical expertise to U.S. military activities and U.S. civil agencies receiving logistical support and services from DLA. Assist Weapon System Support Managers in a wide range of supply chain support and logistics functions. Coordinates with weapon systems team to facilitate complete and timely supply and logistics support for weapon system operational missions. Provide a full range of enterprise support for all DLA Supply classes and support services to the customer element. Act as a DLA Customer Relationship Management (CRM) representative for the customer's concerns and issues and interface with appropriate supply chain owners and logistics service providers across the enterprise to resolve these concerns and issues. Coordinate the multiple initiatives/efforts to ensure established enterprise levels of customer support are met. Serve as a focal point for DLA in the identification of Logistics problems relating to DLA supplies or services.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Logistics Management Specialist your resume must include: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-I l level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Performing analysis and metric reviews of logistics systems' performance. Analyzing logistics support utilizing customer and automated systems and tools. Resolving high-priority logistics, supply, and distribution of information. Providing status of critical or key mission or principal items that leads to improved service to the customer. Supporting military service weapons systems and other logistics programs. Providing life cycle weapons systems support. Navigating through the DLA Enterprise and Service organizational entities to arrive at best value solutions for customer requirements. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
