You will serve as a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST in the PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICE of NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY PANAMA CITY FL.

Duties

You will manage programs for the preparation and release of information to the public and to industry on organizational responsibilities and achievements. You will brief news media representatives and a variety of publics on the organization's programs and activities to increase public understanding of the agency's mission. You will develop and prepare speeches for the Commander or other command representatives. You will formulate budget and resource requirements, executing contract and procurement obligations for production, printing, and distribution. You will coordinate news media interviews with staff that demonstrate an organization's activities or projects. You will write and edit news releases and feature articles for publication in newsletters, websites, and similar publications.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing public affairs support to the command in communications, protocols, social media, and photography; 2) Developing and releasing informational materials, news release, internal publications and 3) Participating in community functions and civic events.
