You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT in the BUSINESS MANAGER DEPARTMENT of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will compose written correspondence to communicate program information.
You will verify accuracy of organizational data to prevent discrepancies.
You will input timecard data into a timekeeping software program (e.g., SLDCADA or similar program).
You will conduct database queries to verify accuracy.
You will adjust program plans in response to changes in funding.
You will manage a travel card program to confirm the proper use of issued travel cards.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assessing travel vouchers to ensure supporting documents (e.g. transportation orders, property settlement agreements, lodging receipts, etc.) are attached and claimed entitlements are authorized.2) Completing travel orders for civilian and military personnel in the Defense Travel System.3) Preparing program materials (e.g. slides, charts) to be utilized in briefings or meetings.4) Assisting others on the interpretation and application of Joint Travel Regulations for travel policies.5) Creating Defense Travel System reports and maintenance of reports and records to document work products benefitting the organization metrics (Defense Travel System experience).6) Reviewing work methods, processes, or procedures to improve efficiency or effectiveness of an administrative program.7) Writing and verbally communicating effectively with all levels of management and workforce on travel processes and policies.
