You will serve as a ASSISTANT INSPECTOR GENERAL in the OFFICE OF THE VICE COMMANDER, INSPECTOR GENERAL (09IG) of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND ATLANTIC.
Duties
You will be responsible for the execution and operation of the Hotline and Investigations program; processes and investigates routine hotline complaints per established DOD, DON and NAVFAC regulations.
You will respond to a variety of routine complaints and allegations received from sailors, dependents, retirees, civilian employees, the general public, Department of the Navy Inspector General directed tasks, or command directed special assignments.
You will complete assigned inspections of Echelon 3 or 4 Programs by assessing compliance with regulatory guidance, economic and effective use of resources, programmatic performance, functional risk, and internal controls.
You will coordinate and conduct fraud awareness training and disseminates information to promote an anti-fraud culture.
You will provide technical support for external audits and coordination of Managers Internal Control Program (MICP).

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing direct staff support in the areas of hotline investigations, Managers Internal Control Program (MICP), audits and inspections; 2) Making practical recommendations to all levels of management to correct deficiencies or to improve operational effectiveness; 3) Providing technical expert advice in areas of inspections and investigations; 4) Developing and administering programs, surveys and investigations designed to detect and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse; and 5) Preparing comprehensive inspection and investigative reports.
