You will serve as a IT Specialist (APPSW) the in the IM Customer Services Branch of the Information Technology Department, in the Corporate Operations Division of NAVSURFWARCENACT DAM NECK VA.
Duties
You will serve as the Assistant Customer Technical Representative (ACTR) and senior level Information Technology (IT) Specialist; planning and identifying IT service operational requirements and developing and maintaining strategic plans.
You will provide expert technical knowledge to monitor and review Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) compliance with Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance.
You will be the authoritative source for policy, governance, process improvement, and CTR/ACTR advocacy and must effectively coordinate with customers with the highest professionalism and customer service/Customer interactions.
You will work closely with other Command ACTRs across DoN to manage the access and work required under the NMCI contract, as well as defining the technical requirements as they relate to NSWCDD DNA business operations.
You will certify NSWCDD DNA NMCI invoices and provide advanced technical knowledge in order to develop/process orders for NMCI and will manage the NSWCDD DNA NMCI budget.
You will serve as the central authority and expert on matters of DOD, Navy, NAVSEA, NSWC IT instructions and policies and will be responsible for assessing policy needs and developing policies to govern NSWCDD DNA IT activities.
You will coordinate the management, development, implementation, and use of automated information systems.
You will support and provide expert technical input as required for current and future implementations of telephony and web services in the development of technical solutions supporting the Commands mission requirements.
You will develop IT material/asset management practices and operations and will provide oversight of devices and asset rationalization.
You will coordinate a dynamic material management operation focused on short and long-term efforts to acquire equipment and maintain required inventories essential in the support of IT maintenance.
You will provide support and expertise in order to track, review, route and resolve all service desk and IT requirement requests.
You will provide Tier II/III levels of support to customers via walk-in, phone, email or online submission into ITSM tool.
You will serve as lead of the of the IM Customer Service team assigning and reviewing work, monitors progress against schedules, providing guidance in special or unusual situations, and ensuring appropriate resources are available as needed.

- This position is designated as a Cyber Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in DoDM8140.03 for specialty area work role of 411 Technical Support Specialist, level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning, leading or coordinating IT services to meet operational requirements. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
