About the Position: Hagåtña is the capital village of the United States territory of Guam. From the 18th through mid-20th century, it was Guam's population center, but today it is the second smallest of the island's 19 villages in both area and population. Federal employees in Guam may be entitled to receive a 12.04% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) and a 20% Non-Foreign Post Differential Allowance in addition to the base salary.

Duties

Identify and report known or suspected problems, issues or concerns to the appropriate staff member, or other official. Assemble students and monitor their dismissal and movement through the hallways/cafeteria. Monitor lunchroom activities to maintain order. Maintain order and safety in recess areas to prevent unsafe/dangerous practices. Ensure students are safely entering and exiting school buses and students are placed on the appropriate bus when departing for home.

Requirements

  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Direct deposit of pay is required.
  • One year trial or probationary period may be required.
  • Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
  • This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.
