Duties

Perform duties of a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for curriculum development contracts Lead the Educational Technology (ED Tech) Educational program for the school district. Coach educators in methods of Educational Technology (ED Tech) instruction and assessment. Model best practices of Educational Technology (ED Tech) instruction and assessment. Facilitate Educational Technology (ED Tech) curriculum development for the school district. Lead the Educational Technology (ED Tech)) Educational program for the school district. Facilitate alignment of content/instruction with assessments that measure performance in Educational Technology (ED Tech). Lead the Educational Technology (ED Tech) Educational program for the school district. Facilitate Educational Technology (ED Tech) curriculum development for the school district. Model best practices of Educational Technology (ED Tech) instruction and assessment. Coach educators in methods of Educational Technology (ED Tech) instruction and assessment.

Requirements

  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

  • Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.

The course work must have been completed at or accepted by a regionally accredited U.S. college or university. ***Applicants must provide ALL copies of Bachelor's and Master's transcripts (include EDS and Doctorate's if applicable).*** Specialized Experience Requirement (5 years): Specialized experience is experience gained in teaching, educational research, development of educational materials and aids, educational testing, educational administration, or comparable activities in an elementary and/or secondary school which has clearly demonstrated success in the application of principles, methods, and techniques of education and familiarity with current developments in PreK-12th grade education and training. A minimum of 3 years of specialized experience as an Educational Technologist at the district or above school level is required. Professional Licensure/Certification Requirement: Must either be certified or certifiable under the current DoDEA standards in any PreK-12 certification area and certified or certifiable in DoDEA standards for Educational Technologist (category 0485). Preferred consideration given to applicants that have completed coursework in the following content areas: 1.Learning theory, psychology of learning, educational psychology: Study of learning theories as they relate to the systematic design, development, and validation of instructional material. 2.Instructional design practices: Study of the principles and techniques used in designing training programs, developing design strategy and models, and applying design methods to the improvement of instructional effectiveness. 3.Educational evaluation: Study of the techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional/educational programs, including developing written and performance tests and survey instruments, and determining reliability and validity of evaluation instruments. 4.Instructional product development: Study of the techniques appropriate for developing training materials, including identifying learner characteristics, specifying objectives, applying training strategy, validating training materials, and evaluating training. 5.Computers in education and training: Study of the application of computers in education and training.
